Inspired by the national movement of Black Lives Matter - I designed this sticker to show solidarity with the idea of creating true racial equality. The illustration is of a Black fist in the air, surrounded by a banner with the hand lettered text "Black Lives Matter". A rose is intertwined with the arm and banner - to represent my hometown Portland, OR.
100% of the cost of this sticker will be donated to charity. In 2023, funds will go to the Urban League of Portland, from their website: "Urban League of Portland is one of Oregon’s oldest civil rights and social service organizations, empowering African-Americans and others to achieve equality in education, employment, health, economic security and quality of life. We do this by investing in stable housing; through workforce development; community health; education and well-being; for our youth, adults and seniors. Our culturally specific programs and services, combined with our powerful advocacy and civic engagement, empowers Black communities to thrive across Oregon and SW Washington."
